This novel is a labor of love from the incredibly talented Anwar Morse. Morse is an illustrator, author, and designer who has dreamed for years of bringing this story to life. He has spent years writing the narrative, illustrating the characters, building the world, and even producing a soundtrack.  Humans is not only an amazing story but also a true work of art.

The 378-page novel features several illustrations by Morse that pay homage to the classic sci-fi novels of the past, which included illustrations throughout their pages.

The power of friendship explodes across the cosmos as a young robot meets 3 kids [who say they are] from far away. Determined forces pursue them in a region of space where robots live and grow but humans have become cold calculating overlords!

There is a faraway region of space populated almost entirely by robots. Humans have become cold and emotionless automatons. Their mechanical servants have evolved into a lively race of beings that live and grow without the input of the masters. S.T.ef-7 a young robot on his first space mission, encounters strange humans who say they are from far away. These humans are unlike any he has ever known; they are kids like him! After a rocky start, he befriends the kid-Humans and joins them on their quest to get back home. Determined forces pursue the kids, but both the pursuers and the pursued are being manipulated by rulers, whose robotic ways betray the fact that they lost their humanity long ago.

Created in pencil and ink, Anwar Morse includes 12 illustrated pages placed sporadically throughout the novel. They help to accentuate the story and illustrate the world.
